Hey All, I don't hang out here too much but I do use this site as a resource. I've recently re-entered the Les Paul world with a lightly-used Standard. A few years ago I had a Traditional with Lollar Low Wind Imperials...they became my gold standard for humbuckers. I recently decided to install Lollar Low Winds configured with 4-conductor wiring into my Standard. I bought a MojoTone wiring harness to save myself from soldering (I tremble a bit these days due to health issues). Wasn't sure what to expect but I think I'm pretty happy with it. I had intended to leave the metal bracket mount control plate in and stick the terminal block to that plate; however, when I mounted the mojotone harness into the metal plate I couldn't get the shafts to mount perfectly into the existing holes in the top of the guitar...the angle was slightly off. I didn't want to get too aggressive as I was a little afraid I might chip or crack the maple top trying to force the shafts with too much force. So I jettisoned the plate and mounted the harness without it. Now the harness (and terminal block) is applied directly to the wood. I anticipate that the adhesive on the rear of the terminal block isn't going to keep secure over the long-term, but I'll keep on eye on it. I really don't like how thin the 4-conductor wire is, it's pretty dainty, but it's working fine. So I thought I'd post a picture and let folks know that it worked out well enough...in case anyone else was thinking of using this harness. Just an informational post.

I'm happy enough with them. I've always run my pots wide-open but have recently started using the controls a bit more. The mojo tone pots taper well and I notice that the tone doesn't get too wooly if I turn the tone down. I've got no complaints.

I installed the same harness a few days ago in my 05 Standard, along with a set of Bareknuckle Abraxas pickups with the Duncan Triple Shot rings. Compared with the previous Duncan JB/Jazz setup and a Jimmy Page harness, this setup is far quieter and brighter, making the guitar almost like a Tele on steroids.
