Murphy Lab - Binding Bleed?

Hello - I own 2 murphy lab light aged les pauls - I have been playing both for over a year and none has even the trace of binding bleeding. What is the difference to the r9? All the r9 I had discolored. As I said, the murphy didn't even a little

Interesting. I seem to recall people here with lots of experiences with real bursts that said that those originals had binding bleeding too….but maybe I’m remembering wrong.

They just wait for the stain to dry longer between staining and spraying is my guess.

Then flash coat and wait.

Then final coats.

But I am an idiot, so there's that...

Binding bleed was common on vintage cherry and cherry sunburst Gibsons.
