That was taken just before his escape to Bath, with tens of thosands of tenants money, and the same in customers and consignee's funds, and leaving the London shop and staff to the mercy of bailiffs and livid clients. Did you take this pic ourman? The laminator would have been used to give the V&R certificates of authenticity that extra professional touch, which is a shame as it prevents the customer wiping his arse with it, which is it's only practical worth..

The jumbled pile of possessions are the tail end of moveable assets he stripped from the premises, and would have gone into his truck soon after this photo was taken I'd imagine. The BBC would love his story- far bigger figures, far bigger celebrities and a classic 'gentleman conman', cultivating a facade of respectability and legitimacy, yet easily on a par with the Harrison's..

No I didn't take the picture J@S, luckily I don't know the man, nor have I ever dealt with him.

I'm also a bit out of order by trying to be flippant in this thread, these loathsome individuals hurt people, and I don't find that funny at all. So I'll be serious from this point on.

There is certainly elements of farce in the wreckage these characters leave in their wake, but yeah, many have suffered and are suffering profoundly at their hands. I've noted Trigg peeking out of his hole recently, and it doesn't take a genius to guess how he's making his living..

This may sound like a perverse observation, but I think villains returning to the "scenes of their crimes", exponentially increases the likelihood of them being brought to account at some point. They'll pick on the wrong one some day, the long firm model will not save them in that instance.

I feel really sorry for those carrying significant losses, who maybe can't commit any more financial resources to chasing an uncertain legal remedy. Everyone is entitled to their day in court, as they are to the legal bill at the end.

Got to say, I have been a customer of Chris and found him to be 100% - I have good reason to be sure of his integrity. Please note M G have been found guilty and given the opportunity to defend themselves. Chris hasn't. I don't know of a music shop where there are no disgruntled customers.

With the greatest of respect David, that puts you in somewhat of a minority. I have had conversations with professionals in the UK Trade who would profoundly disagree with you re Mr Triggs. Also The Harrison's weren't given the legal opportunity to defend themselves, they were impelled to do so, unsuccessfully.

I personally (and I stress the pronoun) don't confuse being disgruntled with other more sinister nefarious activities.

Your miles may indeed vary.

Do some research into Trigg- you will find a couple of decades of fraud, deliberate misselling, bankruptcies and dozens of former customers out of large sums of money, not just from his most recent dash from Denmark Street. I suggest you start with the list of previous directorships and companies held in his name, and you'll find you may well have been doing business with wholly separate companies without your knowledge- also maybe take note of the multiple legal cases against him- to out the Harrison's but not him puts you in a compromised vantage point, although I'm sure there's people out there who thought MG were straight shooters from their dealings.
It's this lack of cross communication that makes it possible for crooks like the Harrison's and Trigg to continue to trade, and why the international reputation of the UK (aka 'Fugazi Island') is so abysmal.
You'll also not find a single person who's ever worked in close proximity with him over career, who has a single good word to say about him, and a litany of tales of his wrong doings- I'd recommend you find another ally in the UK scene- may I recommend Gary Winterflood or Richard Henry for starters
