Hi!
yesterday I bought my first Les Paul! It's a 2012 Studio in TV Yellow finish. While I was replacing the strings on my new guitar, I was very disappointed when I saw that the nut was not fixed at all, but completely free in its place. I am wondering if anyone has faced similar problem. Thank you!

Don't worry, the string tension will hold it in it's place. A drop of household or wood glue will keep it in place and it will still be easy to remove if needed. In the hi-end classical world, nuts are almost never glued in.

Superglue is a specific here. Put a little in the bottom of the slot and press in the nut. It has virtually no shear strength so when it comes time to remove the nut, a tap on one end will free it right up.

No need for glue, but since it bothers you--as mentioned--a dab of superglue is great.
