• Guys, we've spent considerable money converting the Les Paul Forum to this new XenForo platform, and we have ongoing monthly operating expenses. THE "DONATIONS" TAB IS NOW WORKING, AND WE WOULD APPRECIATE ANY DONATIONS YOU CAN MAKE TO KEEP THE LES PAUL FORUM GOING! Thank you!

Just wanted to share a fun experience that me and many other folk had last night at the Hollywood Guitar Center. Robben Ford did a little shoe there and signed CDs and Vinyls for everyone after and man it was a great experience. I was front row right in front of his Dumble (purposely made sure i was as close to that dumble as possible lol)

It was my first Robben Ford / Dumble experience all in one night! As a gear nerd i was in heaven!
The tone.. it was so clean and it had such crazy wide dynamic range and expressioon and responsiveness! It was incredible. Truly inspiring..
Anyways just wanted to share my experience! Did any of you guys go or have been to other Robben Ford shows?

Sorry about the fuzzy pic but here is a shot of his beloved dumble

He was using TC delay and reverb. A polytune. And the overdrive (more clean boost or slight breakup really) was something i havent seen before. But it gave his amp just a little push and took into a good blues crunch. But.. pristine and perfect lol

Thanks! :salude

The OD could've been his Tanabe Dumkudo... I think he's been into that one recently. :hmm

I've seen Robben a bunch of times. He always puts on a good shoe. I saw him once w/Larry Carlton a number of years back, but the Dumbles were being serviced & both of them were playing Fenders- Robben was using Super Reverbs & Larry had Twins. I don't recall if it was 1 or 2 each
