• Guys, we've spent considerable money converting the Les Paul Forum to this new XenForo platform, and we have ongoing monthly operating expenses. THE "DONATIONS" TAB IS NOW WORKING, AND WE WOULD APPRECIATE ANY DONATIONS YOU CAN MAKE TO KEEP THE LES PAUL FORUM GOING! Thank you!

Great story Blewsbreaker.. How cool. I'm sure it's been done, but it's probably time for a "great famous musician's I've met" thread... :dude

Cheers! :salude

Heck, if you know when and where he eats lunch, You should try meeting him for lunch everyday. Then, maybe you could coax him into signing your guitar and amp.

Cool story, thanks for sharing it with us :yay

I wouldn't worry about not getting the sig. It must be nice for Eric to talk to someone that is a genuine fan and who isn't after something from him.

what is a "low powered Fender tweed Twin reissue"?
Tweed twins came in 2 configurations:
High powered used 4 5881's w/2-12" jensens
Low powered used 2 5881's w//2-12' jensens, which is the version Fender just reissued..

Its amazing to me that he really has no interest in trying out the old amps......Mmmmm, I guess after being "god" all these years he doesnt have to go back in time......been there ,done that sort of thing. Maybe we are the anal ones and those amps arent worth anything...... Please sell me all those worthless amps as we (nobody's) are the only ones playing them, and buy the amps that our hero's are playing. Get rid of that old junk and buy the boutique amps now before its to late...........

"Do you mind if I join you?" That is EXACTLY how I ended up having breakfast with Arnold Palmer. I was the first one in to the club house for breakfast and an early practice session and he was the second one in. It was very special and he sure can pack in the bacon and eggs!

The Clapton encounter sounds truly special.

Cheers

Cool story!

Hey Lefty, Elliot Easton used to post here. Haven't seen him around lately though.

Easton is a great guitarist. I really like his style...!

He did some patches for the KORG A-3 guitar
processor back in the day and it was good.

BB ..that's a great story ..with all the gear and Dora chat within 20 minutes his meal must have gotten cold though :) btw, If I'm not mistaken TW's Sandy was used there to record on a late 70's-early 80's (?) Face Dancer album ...I remember their guitarist (Jeff Adams) telling me that Paul McCartney had visited their studio one day to say hello to them and that he couldn't have been any friendlier. Sounds like you have a terrific job :dude
