Its my 07 R9 that our very own Stumble refined to look better.. I was going for a Bloomfield / BOTB type finish.

Looks very vintage looking!

That looks great! And interesting grain pattern especially on the upper bout. Its astonishing that Gibson hid that top under a coat of gold paint.

Wow! That looks awesome... :dude:

I see a hint of double staining going on, kinda like the early historics - am I the only one seeing that? Is that caused by the pictures/lighting?

Stow,
at first i wasnt sure, but now I get it-I think it looks great, and can only get better with age, did stumble use correct dyes that will fade?
I recently aquired my own 07R9, and I think it looks close to your original colour-but I know it wont fade or check anything like yours probably will now.
I have a few Qs, any way I can contact stumble to discuss work, as i have a few things I'd like to get done too?
Did you do anything to the carve when you had it stripped?-the shape seems to 'pop' more now?
Is your R9 a quarter sawn back?--I am convinced that is one of the factors that differentiates R9/R8/R7, mine has a near dead quarter sawn back, and seems much more resonant for it (compared to my others-04R7, and 07R8)
I hope to get some family pics up here soon-but I realise its like knitting fog ,getting a good pic of a les paul-unless you have good lenses and a good eye.
cheers

Whow, nice.
The Historic Bloomies are a bit darker or brownish red than your pics show it.

But the dark spot on the side is also really nice. I think its incredibly well done.
:salude
Much better than before.
