When the Bloomfields came out I had GAS.. but no cash.. so I stripped my 07 VOS R9 for a refin and got forum member Stumble to refin guitar to look like a Bloom with proper nitro..

I'm VERY pleased with results.. Looks very vintage..bit like cover of BOTB LP.

Guitar has OTP plastic apart from guard.. Pups are my own "Mary Ann's" with DMC covers and they were wound and made by me..anyway more pics to come these are just iphone pics.

Stow... i like the amber vibe of the refin, looks very authentic, but the sunburst looks like it stopped somewhere in the mid upper waist? Was this intentional? The most important thing however, is that YOU like it! Cheers bro!

I like it! :dude:

Most real bursts have areas of more or less fade, and I love it when painters go paler in the forearm area and subtly darker in areas around the knobs, horn, neck...

Sapi, that was the look I was going for.. As the Rev says above.

I wanted a uneven faded burst to look like a vintage lp

Sweet job, of course it sure doesn't hurt to start with a damn fine subject matter to begin with. I really like the shots taken in a little more subdued lighting it really brings the flame and new burst out nicely. I've been trying to get those kind of shots since I bought my overpriced camera it has thus far eluded me LOL, it might be an old dog with a digital type of thing however.

I was never able to capture the reds/transition into amber as they were in person with the digital camera, and it was not a cheap camera! And i love those reds...
