Game, Set & Match - I just scored a new Bludotone Bludo Drive & it is without a doubt the best amp I've ever heard, played or owned.
I know it's easy to get caught up in hype but this is not one of those times.
This amp is amazing and hats off to Brandon who has knocked it out of the park.
The cleans are killer, the drive channel is amazing & is a very versatile amp that has a plethora of tones.
It voiced exactly like Larry Carlton's Bludo.
The amp was built 2008 and the circuit is based on a HRM Skyliner which has internal treble, mid, bass trimmers to fine tune the cascading overdrive channel and was built using huge transformers.
In all my years of being around gear I've never experienced anything like this amp. You really need to hear it to know what I'm talking about something about the way the guitar reacts, sounds & feels when playing this amp I just cannot explain it, yes organic is a great word but it doesn't do justice to what I'm hearing.
There are no vids out there that I've watched that do these things justice, you really need to be playing them to know what they're about it's such a feel thing and being in the same room will give you that experience of what you're hearing to really appreciate them. And I haven't even touched the surface, I dialled in the settings that MY EARS like and its blown me away, I'd love to know what it's going to sound like cranked & when I've had more time finding the sweet spot, because at the moment I'm heaven.
I've never bought into the whole Dumble/Clone thing and thought a good amp could be had for $2k but this thing is on a completely different level to my previous amps Vox, Tone King, Tweeds, Blackface etc .
Something just happens with the tone and the note clarity is 3D like, but it's the way the amp holds the notes & overtones that's really freaking me out. I can't explain it, I'm shithouse when it comes to explaining tone.
Sorry I'm rambling but there's no style of music this amp can't do & I totally understand why Larry Carlton & Robben Ford etc use Bludos. It's the perfect amp to express your playing being so touch sensitive. The Rock & Jazz feature is also killer. The master volume is amazing combined with the Loopilator is very cool it can be played at any volumes without losing Tone. Just use your volume & tone knobs.
Anyway hats off Brandon builds an amazing amp :dude: :salude
