• Guys, we've spent considerable money converting the Les Paul Forum to this new XenForo platform, and we have ongoing monthly operating expenses. THE "DONATIONS" TAB IS NOW WORKING, AND WE WOULD APPRECIATE ANY DONATIONS YOU CAN MAKE TO KEEP THE LES PAUL FORUM GOING! Thank you!

Hey y'all,

I need to find someone who can make me a 3d custom headstock logo / badge - in the style and spirit of the original Gibson plastic logo badges that appear on the headstocks of 1959 Flying V's and Explorer's. I would love for it to be a brushed CNC aluminum, but am open to chromed plastic as well. I thought about 3d printing, but every example I've seen doesn't have a smooth enough finish. I've searched online, but looks like the better places require a very large minimum order, and I only really need one piece for the guitar. Does anyone have a contact that might specialize in something like this? Thanks!

Here are some pics of what I'm talking about:

And here is the design I am trying to get made:

To go on the split headstock of a custom Futura style guitar I have (here it is for placement made of paper)

Nicely designed logo!
If you want to have in steel or aluminium, you might want to try a local custom car builder. There a lot of CNC stuff involved in that and if the shop doesn't run a CNC, they will know someone who does. If you want a 3d-print someone on Etsy should be able to print it.

Thanks for the compliments, and thanks for this suggestion. It reminded me that there is custom motorcycle builder close by, I'm going to check with them first.
