Man, that was some wild template they used to route those cavities.:wow Or maybe everyone made their own.

Steve; I just re-read your post and noiticed that you were asking for '59's only. The photos I posted above are a mix of '58s,'59s, & '60s

Maybe you can go back and edit out all the 1958 and 1960 ones, for simplicity. :)

Here's my 1959 cavity. Notice, never had a ground wire. Never caused a problem for me.

Hey Guys! Sorry to resurrect such an old thread but I have a question concerning the ground wire that connects all the pots! In most cases the wire connects all the 4 pots but there seem to be some exceptions!? In some control cavities the ground wire seems to be connected in pairs (see photo right-hand corner)!

Did they come from the factory like this or was it usually done later on?

The solder does not look original on the neck pickup control ground wire.

I believe they were grounded both ways, all 4 or 2 & 2.
