• Guys, we've spent considerable money converting the Les Paul Forum to this new XenForo platform, and we have ongoing monthly operating expenses. THE "DONATIONS" TAB IS NOW WORKING, AND WE WOULD APPRECIATE ANY DONATIONS YOU CAN MAKE TO KEEP THE LES PAUL FORUM GOING! Thank you!

Well, I got rid of my 0157GT and my 0257BB and replaced them with #82129(Authentic Washed Cherry) and #82401(Faded Tobbaco) from Dave's. They are 8.6 and 8.8lbs. I have #82281(Washed Cherry) 8.6lbs. also from Dave's. These 58's are truly wonderful guitars! Through my 59 Bassman RI and my 71 Marshall Super Bass half stack, they are all very toneful. Woody and brilliant, and very responsive to pick attack. The 57 Classics in #82281 and 82401 are great through these amps! I can see differences in these pickups when compared to my sold 0157GT. Much better! The Burstbuckers in #82129 seem a bit darker than the 57 Classics. All guitars have that woody sound - kinda hollow and when rolled down on volume, even a bit of a twang or snap!I replaced the caps in 82281, but the others are still stock. Dave's gets kudos from me, because in each case, they demo'd the guitars, described them in depth, and set them up to a tee! Thanks Laun! I am one happy man!!!!;)

I've made several purchases from Dave's. They are
great to do business with and always have competitve prices.
