Wasn't really expecting to ever be able to start a thread on this pub but then this week happened. Meet Ethyl (M. Ethyl Key-Tone). She's a real stripper. Apparently someone didn't like the finish. Original bridge is lost to time. Original tuners are safely sealed in the case. All else is original. Pots date to 21st week of 1960. She throws a mean punch. I'll be digging into her background some more to try and figure out additional details.
This is a round numbered birthday year for me so I was in the market for something special. I was thinking of going single pickup, vintage, and I was thinking the most likely bet would be to find a good SG Jr. that fit the search parameters. I went by Chicago Music Exchange and had a nice chat with Karl who promptly pulled this thing from in back. And that was all she wrote. Thanks to the fine folks over at CME always knowing how to drain my accounts in the most positive way.
