• Guys, we've spent considerable money converting the Les Paul Forum to this new XenForo platform, and we have ongoing monthly operating expenses. THE "DONATIONS" TAB IS NOW WORKING, AND WE WOULD APPRECIATE ANY DONATIONS YOU CAN MAKE TO KEEP THE LES PAUL FORUM GOING! Thank you!

OK, it was actually like a week ago, but you know how that goes...

Well folks, I dunnit! My first-ever Marshall cab, a model 1510 4x10 bass cab. Here it is with my crappy ol' Crate BX200 bass head.

Here it is with my Sovtek Tube Midget 50W guitar head:

Sounds great both for bass, and (with my above Sovtek Tube Midget) for guitar! Size is generally same as a standard Marshall 4x12 flat front, but considerably deeper, back to front:

ONE HUNDRED AND FECKING FORTY-FIVE US DOLLARS!!! YAY!

Also, had a "mystery switch" that the seller was clueless about, so I ran it by my tech, and here is the answer to that small mystery, because I firmly believe in labeling things. Turns out a prior owner added an impedance switch, can either be 16Ω or 8Ω:

Heavy as an imploding star, but thankfully on casters, haha.

Time to rock!

My wife made me get rid of my 4x12. It was a piece of furniture. Sounded great. Enjoy while you can.

I feel your pain, and you have my condolences, but I can report with every certainty that such will not be happening at Casa Krashpad, haha. The "wife made me" ship sailed about 30 years ago, when it comes to gear. I don't tell her what to buy or keep, and vice-versa.

Here's the lot, prior to the Marshall 4x10 bass cab (also, not including a Vox AC30 2x12 combo from a few months back):

I noticed the cab was missing the small gold model corner badge. Sent away for a reproduction replacement. It arrived from... wait for it... Kazakhstan!

Here's a shot of the repro badge on the cab. My work here is done!

Congrats! What speakers are in that beast?

Btw, I just snagged a (much smaller and lighter) Marshall 1965a 4×10 cab. Great stuff!

Hey BK, you might want to black out your address in that photo...

Thanks! Originally it had Celestion 10s of some sort, I couldn't tell you more specifically. Reportedly it currently has Eminence bass speakers of some sort, which are presumably better suited to bass than the original Marshall stock ones.

As to the address, I placed the repro badge over the first numeral of the street address, so that the street number that is visible is missing one of the digits.

Thanks again.
