New Respect for Paul Stanley

Really good interview with Paul Stanley about his collection...

He's such a Gibson nerd, and he even uses a Dremel tool to age his guitar cases, this guy is one of us!

I really enjoyed this -- and yes, I was quite tickled to see how he loves to personally age his cases including the decals.

Cool highlights from all periods, especially nice to see he has much warmth for his pre-historics.

I believe there was some hullabaloo in the past regarding his mod'd 58 [the one acquired from Wishbone Ash]...?

Another big takeaway is his respect for the work by Kim @kthesheep at Historic Makeovers!

I wonder if Mark and Cesar are eager to get a Murphy in his hands, publicly?

Laying odds if he becomes a signature artist, we'll see a version of that V...

I was a bit hesitant…but man…he is a very humble and cool cat. Great episode.

I don't know what video you watched, but he came off as completely down to Earth. So much so that I cannot reconcile the fact that this is the same guy with the cheesy video moves and corny lyrics and stage patter.

Never liked Kiss, but it's great to hear someone who loves his Les Pauls. And he's not precious about it. Good man!

I've never been a Kiss fan outside of Vinnie Vincent's writing and playing, but I did work for them last year (or the year before) and Stan was a very decent guy, as was Gene.

I think I'm a little too young to be a superfan, although in HS I had a few friends who were, but they did change the way a lot of people thought of live shows so credit where credit is due.
