Put a set of these on the guitar below and versus the TI and D'A flats that had been on it over its recent life, the instrument went from good sounding and playing to great. Increased clarity and warmth, very balanced feel (not a bit stiff like the TIs), with the fusion flats it went from a bit of a struggle to play (versus thinlines and sold bodies) to a joy. There is also something cool about the nickel wrap in terms of feel, comfortable and easy to grab notes. All around winners.

Other guys who sell them include CRGuitars and more coming.

Heard that several great players have put 10s and 11 sets on their thinlines and love them, even a Strat player/builder digs them on Fenders.

Also heard that archtop builder to the stars, John Monteleone, thought these were something special. The 12 set on my Super 400 ring like a bell.

Have some 10s on the way that I want to try on these:

I’m gonna put some Fusion Flats on my ES-335. This should be very interesting.

I use flats on my Gretsches (I love the thump) and my vintage Kent Epiphone archtop, both Pyramids (Gold) and TIs (Jazz Swing), and some of my guitars prefer each of the brands depending on the gauge. My favorite gauge on those guitars are 12's, except for my Duojet which I use 11s on.

I just want to jump on and give my enthusiastic 2-thumbs-up to Pyramids new Fusion Flats. They're remarkably versatile and beautiful sounding. When Dean was designing these for Pyramid he sent me a prototype set and told me not to expect these to sound or feel like the old flats of years back. So I figured they'd probably need to go on my Gretsch G6136GE '55 White Falcon (being a large hollow body). WOW! these strings ROCKED! They had lots of stretch, grit, complexity, and stayed in tune...for a long time! I called Dean and said I need a box of these to spread among some other guitars. These are NOT Jazz strings—though they probably can be. My other guitars LOVE them. I've been using them now for some months on my LP, Strat, Tele , and Falcon. I told Dean he should name them "Future Flats" because in my estimation these Fusion Flats have redefined the boundaries for flat wounds.

I have a set on my Strat( the Hendrix set .010-.038) and a set on my ‘59 Country Club.(010-.046) They sound great and very unlike the regular Pyramid Gold flatwounds. I’ve been with Pyramid since 1996. You guys can buy strings from me instead of these big box string sellers…

Hey Don,

Glad to see you again! Which gauges are you stocking (so I can send some folks your way)? Happy that you dig them.
