Bought myself a 45th birthday present a while back, but due to Covid this beauty didn’t come home until a few days back. It’s an all original 1955 Custom, one owner from new in Sweden. Has a minor neck repair, otherwise in top form. She will be getting a refret shortly, but for now I’m just enjoying her as is. Sounds amazing, and feels great. Couldn’t be happier👍.

If you really want to hear that alnico neck pickup in its element, turn a clean amp way up and lower the volume on the guitar. With the right volume pot the tone will morph into a beautiful Fender meets Gibson tone that becomes the definition of unique.

nice score! I've been thinking about getting one of these... I just can't help but wonder if the prices are going to come back down in the next 6 months or so...

Seems to have been a sharp rise lately on these. I got mine for a very fair price, but to be honest they are really good guitars so they should match the goldtop prices IMHO. Highly recommendable👍👍

I shouldn't say this... because I'm in the market to buy one and I don't want the price to go up, but I'm surprised these first-gen customs aren't more popular... such really cool, and tonally diverse options.. especially when blending the middle position.
