• Guys, we've spent considerable money converting the Les Paul Forum to this new XenForo platform, and we have ongoing monthly operating expenses. THE "DONATIONS" TAB IS NOW WORKING, AND WE WOULD APPRECIATE ANY DONATIONS YOU CAN MAKE TO KEEP THE LES PAUL FORUM GOING! Thank you!

I posted NGD (1 of 3) in the Les Paul area, because that's what it was. However, to keep things on the up-and-up, it's probably best to post this one here. I was going to "stack" my posts, but that may have irked some folks, so here it goes. Ladies and Gentlemen, may I introduce to you, "Dark Star."

And just to complete the picture, NGD #1 is sitting behind her. Call this photo "Old and New" (1998 Gibson Les Paul Special SL)

Very nice! You may end up swapping pups on this. Have patience. The right HB's in an SG absolutely kill and there is NO "these work in everything" on it. Weight? If it is right around 7 and the sound needs grit Wizzes might be a good place to start if what's in it fail to delight after the honeymoon...Best bet is to get a friend and invest in a few pups each so you can swap around. Or you can call Thrōbak and let Jon work with you. I like the lines on that. I may have to pick one up.

I've had very little time with it due to work commitments and the need to let it acclimate, but one thing that I noticed and surprised me when I pulled it out of the wrapping was how light it was. Definitely lighter than the LP. I'm going to find my bathroom scale and start weighing these things!

Yes. Compared to a Les Paul they are a load off. For sure.
