A few weeks ago, I got a 2007 R9 that had been sent to Historic Makeovers for the RDS treatment.

By coincidence, I ended up with another 2007 R9 this weekend that has also had the RDS makeover. This one came via a trade that cost me my beloved CC#8, but I'm really stoked about this guitar.

The inspiriation for the finish came from the Memphis Mojo Burst, but the figuring is closer to the Believer Burst.

I'm looking for a set of offset Retrospec studs for this one. PM me if you have a set you want to sell. :fingersx:

It's got a set of Tom Holmes pickups that sound really great. I haven't measured them, but at first listen, they seem a little hotter than what I have currently, so I'm happy to have a little different sound.

For now, I've got Fake58 shrunken tuners on it, but I may end up putting my vintage nickel Grovers on next time I change strings.

Nice chocolaty Braz as opposed to the jet black on my other one...

And because I'll never be able to match their quality, here are some taken by Historic Makeovers...

Monsta. Nice belly shot. I loved Reswots R7 too.
The paint is just amazing- the detail. I think there must be some "rule of 3" ratio going on with the paint on the lower body.
What is the weight and how do the two RDS necks compare?

Thanks! Your's is killer too. I had my eye on it. :)

Qualitatively, the two necks feel identical, but I'll get some measurements to see how they actually compare. I think the weight is just under 9 lbs.

EDIT: Here are some neck thickness measurements at the 1st, 7th, and 12th frets...

Lemon Cherry
0.898" 0.874"
0.916" 0.914"
0.932" 0.929"

I think that is what they call "30/60"- .030" larger than a thin 1960 neck.
Mine does things sonicly that are subtle that I haven't heard before with my playing anyway. I am impressed and for once at a loss for words.
