I picked up this amazing guitar just last week on Friday the 13th. It is an Antonio Tsai SG guitar with a stunning eagle inlay and mountains with a sunset. I bought it used at a small home operated music store called the 'Interesting Music Shoppe' and wow did I find something interesting!

It has a mahogany body & neck and this guitar weighs in at just over 8 lbs. That's pretty heavy for an SG guitar! But it feels very solid and it's great quality. The pickups sound very good in this guitar and overall this fine instrument plays exceptionally well. I'm very glad to have this gem of a guitar.

Hello, everyone. I am brand new to the forum. I happened to stumble across this thread and thought I would chime in. I am a huge fan and collector of Antonio Tsai guitars -- for well over 10 years now. At last count I've got probably about 10 or 11 of them. I started by buying ones he had listed on eBay, mostly variations on abalone and mother of pearl tops. Then I commissioned him to build me one from scratch. It is the blue, gold and silver one with dragon inlay throughout the fingerboard. They actually drew about 5 different dragon designs before I finalized my selection. About 5 years ago, I was very fortunate to stumble across a listing for one of his very first guitars, built around 1979. It is a tobacco sunburst les paul with beautiful abalone and mop inlay. I very recently replaced the pickups on it with vintage original Ibanez Super 70s from the 1970s. I also bought a Firebird-style one he built some time ago. Here are some random pics I was able to dig out of my phone -- the first one has Antonio Tsais on the floor leaning against the couch and the middle one on the couch is one also. You will see that the reception area of my law office is adorned with Antonio Tsai guitars. The prices used to be great, but I see that they are slowly creeping up, so I'm glad I grabbed them when I did. I have found the pickups to be microphonic and not great, so I replaced all of them with varying Seymour Duncans -- some have the Slash Alnico IIs, some have the JBs, some have the 59s, and I believe one has the Screamin' Demons. Great forum!
