I had a lovely light blue Fano JM6 that didn't quite tick all the boxes for me, so last month I came across this little treasure. She's a brand new Fender CS L-Series 1964 Jazzmaster Sonic Blue Closet Classic, and she is just as good as she looks. Love it. The light checking is amazing. I'm considering switching to a Mastery, but haven't quite made up my mind yet. Best Jazzmaster I've ever tried:).

That is cool! I like that color

I switched my Jaguar to a Mastery because the strings just would not stay put on top of those "saddles".

Thanks, guys. I'm really pleased with this one. I was planning to find a vintage Jag or Jazzmaster, but this lady poked me in all the right places:).

Congratulations! Very cool guitar. I have a 64 closet classic Jazzmaster as well but in the vintage white w the mint green pickguard. It is one of my favorite guitars for sure. I upgraded w a staytrem bridge and vibrato bar and collet.

Nice strap!

I believe you can never call yourself a true JM/Jag player until you get the bridge to submit. They have such a unique sound and once you get them set up and settled they never give you hassle. I think people give up too easy.

i've played the guitar quite a lot over the past week and have to say that I don't see any need for a replacement bridge. It works perfectly, and I personally think the mastery ruins the look of the guitar. So I am with you on this subject:).

Good for you! You've done her proud. If you start to change your mind at any point, drop me a pm as there are many little tweaks and tips that tame those bridges.
