• Guys, we've spent considerable money converting the Les Paul Forum to this new XenForo platform, and we have ongoing monthly operating expenses. THE "DONATIONS" TAB IS NOW WORKING, AND WE WOULD APPRECIATE ANY DONATIONS YOU CAN MAKE TO KEEP THE LES PAUL FORUM GOING! Thank you!

For years and years, the only two guitars I owned were a German (Framus) acoustic 12-string and a 1957 Gibson ES-225. The Gibby was my electric guitar and it's a dream (I still have it). Never having had a solid-body guitar, I started buying them left and right. Two LPs, two SGs, five Strats, three Teles, and one Pignose travel guitar.

Then, the other day I came across the proverbial deal too good to pass up, and scored this lovely 2017 Gibson Memphis LE ES-335 70s Walnut with case.

It was like going home again! I tuned it and started playing, and it was like I'd been whisked back 30 years. The feel of the neck, the radius of the fingerboard, the weight, heft and shape of the body just felt familiar and comfortable.

I'm going to enjoy playing this one!
