Guys, we've spent considerable money converting the Les Paul Forum to this new XenForo platform, and we have ongoing monthly operating expenses. THE "DONATIONS" TAB IS NOW WORKING, AND WE WOULD APPRECIATE ANY DONATIONS YOU CAN MAKE TO KEEP THE LES PAUL FORUM GOING! Thank you!
Pics from the store I bought from. I traded in a 2011 R9. I always wanted to compare the new construction with the old. (hide glue etc.). I put it up against a dozen or so 2013+ ones. Finally this one really won out. Left Gibson about 9/2/21.
its funny ..... these are amazing guitars but invariably all anyone comments on is the pickups covers which are the easiest thing in the world to upgrade for a tiny % of the cost of the guitar
to tell you the truth. its bothering me less and less. The guitar i traded in, the 2011 had a nice patina and aging on the burstbuckers. it was a vos guitar. i dont understand why they wouldnt just use those covers though.
The greatest benefit of this aging thing though is this give me an instrumment i can play without worrying about dings and scratches. it will soon have my marks.
