• Guys, we've spent considerable money converting the Les Paul Forum to this new XenForo platform, and we have ongoing monthly operating expenses. THE "DONATIONS" TAB IS NOW WORKING, AND WE WOULD APPRECIATE ANY DONATIONS YOU CAN MAKE TO KEEP THE LES PAUL FORUM GOING! Thank you!

I’ve been on the hunt for the “right” Les paul for a while now. I plan on only having one. This one checked all my boxes. Low output pickups, and an understated but unique top. I talked to Steve at Wildwood for a while about the top on this, it has these dark, short lines of crystallization in the wood- is that crystalized sap? I'ver heard it called "mineral" before. . It’s something I love about vintage bursts when I see them. It’s so beautiful. Forgive the photos from Wildwood, I’ll get out the canon and take some of my own.

Congrats Mr.69. I love it. In addition to that sweet top, your fretboard looks great, too.

Curious, year of birth or is it all about your swagger?

DAMN! (y)

That looks like the right one to me. Welcome to the forum!

And 'yes' to Wildwood. They get the good 'uns.

If it sounds and feels as good as it looks you’ve got a winner, congratulations!

Congratulations! Enjoy the new guitar. I bought a WW 58 in 2020 and it soon moved to the #1 spot in my lineup and has not left. Really great instruments. 😎👍

Don’t mean to hijack or anything, however after some searches I didn’t find the answer. When we’re the issues with the lacquer of the Murphy lab happening? Thanks for the help

Mine is a Murphy Lab 2021. In my case, the finish flaked off in chunks and when I tried to get Gibson to take care of it they told me that it was my playing wear. What a fucking joke. I will never buy a brand new Gibson again.

May I ask what level of aging yours had? Sorry for your loss on that one..
