• Guys, we've spent considerable money converting the Les Paul Forum to this new XenForo platform, and we have ongoing monthly operating expenses. THE "DONATIONS" TAB IS NOW WORKING, AND WE WOULD APPRECIATE ANY DONATIONS YOU CAN MAKE TO KEEP THE LES PAUL FORUM GOING! Thank you!

Let my R9 go for these two beauties. Still got my R8 but this was a chance deal I had to act on or let go by and I've been jonesing for a good Fender for awhile. New are a Black Custom Shop '56 NOS Stratocaster from 2009 and a Vintage Blonde (as opposed to the much more common Butterscotch) '51 Nocaster Relic from 2008. Both in as new condition. Totally stock as far as I can tell except the previous owner had wired a small jumper on the switch of the Strat so the bridge pickup would be connected to the bottom tone knob. I "get" why someone might want to do that but in my experience it robs the pickup of volume and tone so I removed that wire and returned it to stock.

Awesome chunk'a wood there!

Thank you! And speaking of chunk, the Nocaster neck is quite chunky and sweet playing. Both instruments have a 9.5" radius and med. jumbo frets. The Strat has the 10/56 V profile which measures .880" first fret and .980 12th fret. Amazing feel and sound on both after a decent setup.

According to the Fender Shop Floor Traveller the neck is qualified as AA BE MN (High Figure). My guess is AA Birdseye Maple Neck. I'm thinking it's under qualified compared to what's there! I'll have to take more pics, on the neck itself it's flamed on one side , then birdseye then back to flames again. It's one of the most striking necks visually I've ever seen in person. Sure feels nice too.
