• Guys, we've spent considerable money converting the Les Paul Forum to this new XenForo platform, and we have ongoing monthly operating expenses. THE "DONATIONS" TAB IS NOW WORKING, AND WE WOULD APPRECIATE ANY DONATIONS YOU CAN MAKE TO KEEP THE LES PAUL FORUM GOING! Thank you!

The Forum rumor Mill says your doing a neck set ?
Ha Ha , as if when Pigs Fly on a Wing . Never ever will I desecrate a wonderful masterpiece creation from the artisans at Gibson Custom . The only thing I ever do is have my ThroBak's installed (MXV-SLE-101 Plus ) . Anyway who am I to pass Judgement on the best Gibson Les Paul's in the world short of the vaunted and valuable vintage 50's masterpieces ?

El Gringo.......you got it Brotha...!!!!!!!!
specs please
Okay here you go 9.2 at the first fret , 1.04 at the 12th fret . Dark Rosewood boards . 9 lbs weight , as I don't like feather light Les Paul's ( I am so spoiled from the Norlin era ) and lastly Throbak MXV-SLE-101 Plus pickups . Pretty simple and basic . Tommy Colletti's and The Music Zoo ,blessings as none of this would be possible ! I cannot ever express enough gratitude at Tommy Colletti as he is the best and then some !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Obviously I concur . Funny thing about the neck profile is that when I first played both instruments the neck size didn't jump out at me , but the 2nd time playing them over the weekend I noticed them big time . It's just such a natural and comfortable feeling in my left hand and also my left fingertips as well in the cowboy chord area of the fingerboard . So how much different is your profile numbers wise ?

my three : '18 CS-336 M2M 1.031", '18 R7 Goldtop 1.023", '20 60th Anniv R0 1.015"
All 1st fret depths. All three have little to no taper, so they're even down past the 12th fret. All three big/thick/round/huge shoulders.
Moving from one neck to the next, there's no difference and they feel amazing

That's nice . Very nice to be able to grab a instrument and to have a uniform feel up and down the neck . Nice profile .
