• Guys, we've spent considerable money converting the Les Paul Forum to this new XenForo platform, and we have ongoing monthly operating expenses. THE "DONATIONS" TAB IS NOW WORKING, AND WE WOULD APPRECIATE ANY DONATIONS YOU CAN MAKE TO KEEP THE LES PAUL FORUM GOING! Thank you!

Nice cheap '60's J45 on CL in San Antonio.

I wou ldhave to look hard and long to think that htat guitar staretd life as a Gibson. The soundboard wood doesn't look right for a Gibson with that logo----Gibson did use mahogany during WWII---if tha is mahogany. So, wrong type of wood, and it is not even bookmatched. IF..big IF....the body and neck started life as a Gibson, then the top is not orignal. The cutaway obviously is not a Gibson thing. The bridge is not a Gibson thing. So, if the body is an orignal Gibson with a different top and a cutaway added, then the value is not there for a Gibson body, imho. IF the neck is a real Gibson neck, then maybe the neck has some value. The pickup?? IF one pulled it out of the body, one might find something of interest there. Without pullling the pickup, there is $100 there...maybe...if someone walks in with it here. IF the body and the neck came out of Kalamazoo together, there still isn't much value there due to what has been done to the guitar.
Now, if I picked it up and it were a funky good player; I might offer a little more than that. But, man, that humbucker is sitting right in the middle of the X-brace cross, isn't it? I would love to look at that thing just out of curiousity....might be good for a chuckle....or maybe that is a PAF???? LOL
Take a light and a mirror, Sauce....you might get lucky.

What the hell is that?????
I'm no expert but there is almost nothing on that that looks like a Gibson.
From what I can see, (and someone correct me,) but the logo looks more like a decal, not an inlaid one.
The body looks like the bastard child of a Breedlove and an Ovation.
Wish there were more pics of it...

Logo looks correct. Should not be pearl for a 60s J-45.
My guess is a retop with new features.

It might be worth investigating the humbucker, in case it is a pre- T-top. :hmm

So, 27Sauce, did you go take a look with a mirror? I would have to if I were nearby.
