• Guys, we've spent considerable money converting the Les Paul Forum to this new XenForo platform, and we have ongoing monthly operating expenses. THE "DONATIONS" TAB IS NOW WORKING, AND WE WOULD APPRECIATE ANY DONATIONS YOU CAN MAKE TO KEEP THE LES PAUL FORUM GOING! Thank you!

An acquaintance of mine through work inherited this beauty from his father last year. Unfortunately it is not for sale since it is a family heirloom, which is the way it should be. But, that doesn’t mean I can’t dream someday I get the call to send some cash his way. I thought you all would enjoy seeing this beauty.

What a nice pattern of wood and whoever sprayed that, did a hell of a job. Maybe that guy or gal did some of the Standards of 58-61

Oh man...this is beautiful.
Nothing can beat a Gibson work and tiger-flame maple they used since the first days....Probably PAF's pu 's, must sound religious.

Good luck to the owner.

Some L5's were also made with varitone...
everything was possible at Gibson till the 70's.
Today no custom orders anymore...Gibson doesn't care for his customers anymore.Very sad....

There's a non-cut, late 40's script logo acoustic L5 in my local store with a similarly gorgeous, deep sunburst. It would be a fabulous addition to my meagre stable but, as ever, finances won't allow. And they haven't been able to sell it for 18 months!
