I was listening to a talk radio station yesterday, and the had a poll that said 65% of Americans already have their mind made up about who they are voting for. How many of you have already decided?
I've already had my mind made up for a while as well. I am not a fan of either one of the candidates to be honest, but one of them is going to win so I had to weigh a couple main personal factors:
My quality of life is not better than it was 4 years ago.
The economy/employment situation is not better for me.
Other considerations (IMO):
The war on 'terrorism' magically turned into liberating Iraq. The people who masterminded for the terrorist acts of 9/11 are still out there after spending hundreds of billions of dollars. So basically we spent shitloads of money and a lot of dead soldiers for what? Where's Bin Laden?
Civil liberties are being violated in the name of 'national security'.
The Halliburton contract deal.
The healthcare/insurance industry is a complete and utter clusterfuck. Millions of Americans can't even afford basic health insurance (me included).
Jobs are leaving the USA at an alarming rate, and nothing is being done about it.
Mergers, downsizing, and deregulation have reduced competition resulting in less choices and less job opportunities.
I don't know about everyone else, but I'm more worried about having a job and insurance than I am about being blown up by a terrorist.
