• Guys, we've spent considerable money converting the Les Paul Forum to this new XenForo platform, and we have ongoing monthly operating expenses. THE "DONATIONS" TAB IS NOW WORKING, AND WE WOULD APPRECIATE ANY DONATIONS YOU CAN MAKE TO KEEP THE LES PAUL FORUM GOING! Thank you!

Oh the wait begins. 2017 Standard content.

This 2017 CS 1959 Standard grabbed my attention pretty good. In the end I had to have it. Seller took good pictures of her so I will share a couple here now while I wait for it to ship this week.

That's why it disappeared from Hbreaze's site! That was on my short list for possibilities to check out a 2017 Standard in person, specs looked great. I don't think you'll be disappointed.

I know there was another one Breazeguitars had I liked that was more a dirty lemon color I think that looked spectacular too and it disappeared shortly before I pulled the trigger on the one I bought. The one I bought was always my first choice and the deep cherry one he still has maybe tied for first place! Wow, he's got some nice ones.

Really spectacular. The top carve is the best I have seen. The carve near the PU switch is new and very realistic.

Hunter is a good dealer, I bought this 2014 R8 from him almost two years ago. It was everything as described in the ad.
I wouldn't hesitate to buy from him again.

If I had not bought two Marshall heads and a stack in the past 6 months I probably would have grabbed one of
these 2017's he had up, both are killer looking guitars.

HNGD :3zone update us on how it feels, sounds and plays.

THAT is superb looking. I very much enjoyed speaking with Hunter Friday. He's as excited about these guitars as I am and he's very knowledgeable about the guitars he has in stock. Thanks for sharing your experience with him here!

Congrats, that a beautiful looking Les Paul.

I didn't see any 2017 standards on Breaze's website. He does get some gorgeous looking guitars though.

Post us some pictures when you get it.

You didn't sound too familiar with him, I know from experience in dealing with Hunter, Marks guitar loft, Mark Stow at ox4 pickups and Aleksandar at Wizz; that it helped ease my mind when others shared their experiences of a vendor. When I posted my R8 NGD I got a few rave reviews of Hunter from people and it helped ease any uncertainties I had in buying from Hunter.

I haven't got the chance to play a 2017 historic yet, I have a trip in a few weeks that will take me through Las Vegas; hopefully the GC there will have one.

I really do like his new picture format. When I bought mine, he only did outdoor pictures. Then I guess someone complained and he switched the format to indoor pictures, now he does both which I really like. It helps give us an idea of what to expect under different lighting conditions.

True, before I called Hunter up last week and ordered I'd never spoken with him nor checked what other buyers experiences may have been. He was extremely courteous as I chatted with him initially about the guitar. Totally put my mind at ease and I never really had any reservations to speak of.

I'd just found him about a week earlier on Ebay. At that time he had two of the 2017 CS Standards and a number of other very nice Historics and Collectors Choice instruments. I also had my eye on a nice 2013 R9 at Music Zoo and a 2016 MTM R9 at Marks and a whole bunch of 2017s at Wildwood. Saw two Gabby CCs disappear at Daves Guitar shop last week that he was blowing out at incredible prices. It was rough making a choice with all the options out there vanishing one by one! By the end of the week though the only shop I really wanted to call was the one I did call. I'd let my last R9 go back in Nov. after a head on collision on the highway on my way to work one night nearly kept me from seeing 2017 at all. Layed up and out of work 7 months going through procedures and rehab etc I'm just now getting back on my feet and after my first week back on the job this new axe I'm waiting on will be much appreciated.

Except for hollow bodies and 'birds I think Dave's new Gibsons are almost depleted. Last I looked he had a couple Krieger's that are on the heavy side, a Waddy, and a blah R9. Maybe an Explorer or two also.

I think you did far better with your R9. I'd have chosen that top over those that Dave had. :peace2

Good to hear that you're doing well, I've been to horrific motor vehicle accidents like that and hardly ever fair well. I'm excited to see your NGD, it looks very nice. Curious just how similar and dissimilar those new Standard historics are to the TH's. Hunter is a good guy, you'll love it!

Thanks for the kind words. I've never seen a new or used TH in person yet so IDK but I am digging the pickup covers from that series the most as far as TH hardware goes. Never could figure out why Burstbucker covers kept that strange squared off look for so long. I've heard the TH neck profiles got closer to vintage specs so I hope that carries over because I very much liked the real 1959 Burst's neck I played about a month ago. I have played and owned a bunch of Historic LPs over the years and I've liked the necks from any year they've been making them but only the Collectors Choice versions I tried had necks that were quite similar to an actual vintage shape IMO.
