I had the pups out of my MIM strat to swap the guard/covers and broke this wire on one of the American’65 style..
..what will I do ?..what WILL I DO

Carefully ruin it with a drop of solder and then get a nice set hand wound replacements!

to much to invest on this guitar ..actually the stock pickups are ( were ) fine.

It's not a difficult fix. For me a strat without neck pu is pretty useless, as I spent most of my time there. I'd probably go for a Blackmore setup.

Can you unwind one turn and make a new connection with the extra length gained? I'm guessing it's not easy, since it's from the beginning of the wind (buried under all the other turns)?
