• Guys, we've spent considerable money converting the Les Paul Forum to this new XenForo platform, and we have ongoing monthly operating expenses. THE "DONATIONS" TAB IS NOW WORKING, AND WE WOULD APPRECIATE ANY DONATIONS YOU CAN MAKE TO KEEP THE LES PAUL FORUM GOING! Thank you!

OK...what the heck is going on, here?

Does that price trigger you? Move on and buy your jack plate for $15 from some one else. Anything is worth what someone will pay. No need to make a thread about this....

I see some of these for reasonable dough (I guess...for a tiny piece of plastic) that are advertised as an OEM part, but all the ones I see pictured in the Gibson package are silly money.
Are some of these restoration parts with proper markings, or something?
I know some Lester people sleep more soundly knowing there is a particular code number or casting line on a plastic part.
I have heard people wax poetic about dimpled pole piece holes in a pickup cover.
