• Guys, we've spent considerable money converting the Les Paul Forum to this new XenForo platform, and we have ongoing monthly operating expenses. THE "DONATIONS" TAB IS NOW WORKING, AND WE WOULD APPRECIATE ANY DONATIONS YOU CAN MAKE TO KEEP THE LES PAUL FORUM GOING! Thank you!

If you could only have one guitar. What it be?
Mine would be Kurt Cobain’s Martin D-18.

RFRN- refin, reneck- owned formerly by a member here, now by a rarely seen member here. A birdseye refinned 59 burst, with a replaced neck (a 53 IIRC). The varnish felt like a heavy poly. Sweet and smooth sound thru PAF's- the neck was a bit smaller than the CS Carmelita- just a skoch. I had it as a guest for five months and slept with it. Really pissed off Mrs Corpse.

Of current guitars, it would have to be between my R7 and ‘57 Custom RI.
I can’t decide.

This guitar has been with me for so long. East coast to west coast twice and all points north and south.
I can't imagine what I'd ever do if I were to have to replace it.

But in the end, it's just wood and strings.
Probably just look for some high end Collings of some sort. Do they even make acoustic's ? 😕

Of mine: 2002 Gibson Les Paul standard, lightburst with Monty's PAFs & replaced wiring harness. Bright, light and versatile.

Of any: Alex Lifeson's white Gibson ES355. An iconic hero guitar to me!

OF the ones I currently own, my 1980 Gibson SG. Maybe my Martin D18. Depends on if an amp is allowed or not.
Of all guitars ever, probably the one I have in mind that I want to build. Possibly changing the pickups / electronics from what I have in mind to something a bit more versatile.

Only a guitar. That’s why I chose Kurt’s D-18. That and it’s the most expensive guitar ever.

I'll take the Burst that Eric Clapton used on The Beano Album and that was pinched when he started with Cream.

I ought to be able to sell it for millions.

Then, I could buy a new R9, all the gear I could ever want, and a nice house............with lots of cash left over.
