Gibson tuners and control board left the sea more Duncan pickups. It doesn’t sound any different to me after pulling out the old pots I wasn’t able to find any markings on them just rust. My trusty fluke 77 meter told me they were 500k ((who knows what happened in the past) but it’s almost back to the way it came from the factory I think.

Just finished a Frankenstein Gibson 50 style control board Gotoh® "Gretsch" tuners tune-o-matic bridge, Bigsby bone nut Semore Duncan seft lovers. It plays great and I think that it will give the Gibson’s a run for their money A9E329C5-CDDB-46AD-9C34-9A5B5969088E.jpeg

So you kept it. Did the seller have anything to say about their misleading description?

Yes I kept it. The seller did not say much other then the tuners were replaced because of a faulty tuner and the customer installed the Seamore Duncan’s I assume that at that time they replaced the control pots because the Gibson board had connectors and the pickups did not so the hardwired the pots instead of installing the connectors ( not what I would have done) so I pulled the pots replacing with the Gibson ckt board and installed the connectors. Ordered and replaced the tuners.

in 2002 when that guitar was built they didn't use the circuit boards.
They were still individual pots and caps. The circuit board didn't come around to the 2010s, IIRC.
Not saying that the previous owner didn't replace the electronics - it's pretty common, and more common to replace pickups.
