• Guys, we've spent considerable money converting the Les Paul Forum to this new XenForo platform, and we have ongoing monthly operating expenses. THE "DONATIONS" TAB IS NOW WORKING, AND WE WOULD APPRECIATE ANY DONATIONS YOU CAN MAKE TO KEEP THE LES PAUL FORUM GOING! Thank you!

There's no cutaway, it's got one of those "smile" headstock cracks, and even with that issue you're dealing with Retrofret pricing, but these ES-300s (no-cutaway sibling of the early ES-350) are all kinds of awesome, and those early P90s sound great. And the blondes are rare. I had a '49 with a custom fingerboard inlay that now resides in Nerdville with Joe Bonamassa. Necks are huge!

We had a 1950 ES-300 at one of the LPF meets a few years back, owned by a member here.

My favourite guitar of the day, amongst many many very fine guitars indeed.

Sublime sounding guitar.

Thanks for the memory nudge blauserk, terrific post.
