• Guys, we've spent considerable money converting the Les Paul Forum to this new XenForo platform, and we have ongoing monthly operating expenses. THE "DONATIONS" TAB IS NOW WORKING, AND WE WOULD APPRECIATE ANY DONATIONS YOU CAN MAKE TO KEEP THE LES PAUL FORUM GOING! Thank you!

I disagree that it looked cooler on EC. There is NO doubt EC was a hip cat and had tone, tone, tone....but this picture just says "this burst is in supersonic overdrive!!" to me.

So does anybody know the "story" with this one, apparently being owned by Clapton and then Koss? Might be a well known story, I just haven't heard it.

EC was and remains one of the "coolest" players ever. His phrasing, tone, and vibrato ar second to none. Koss stands alone on these as well. Two very different but important and essential players to Blues and rock music. They and others complete the picture eh?
