• Guys, we've spent considerable money converting the Les Paul Forum to this new XenForo platform, and we have ongoing monthly operating expenses. THE "DONATIONS" TAB IS NOW WORKING, AND WE WOULD APPRECIATE ANY DONATIONS YOU CAN MAKE TO KEEP THE LES PAUL FORUM GOING! Thank you!

For some reason I'm thinking I want one of these. Does anyone have any experience with these amps.
Or just in general, which speaker configuration, two 12s or four 10s, works better with humbucker equiped guitars. All of my current amps have 12" speakers.

I have a classic 50 4/10 that I use as a practice unit in my apartment. I think it's a pretty freaking good amp for the money.

There are a lot of people that'll tell you it isn't worth much, but I like mine. I think it has quite a cool tone both driven and clean. Not the greatest I guess but not bad. I will definitely use mine in a bar band situation in the future for sure.

Forget what it is, turn it up, and play like hell.

I have the 410 version that I just love, go and try one out you'll love it. It goes great with humbuckers as well as single coils.

i have the 212 version and i think it is a cracking amp for the money especially a used one.i live in northern ireland and they
cost near 700 pounds new here but my friend is about to clinch
a deal on one for 180 pounds....bargain
the 410 model sounds a bit tighter but is also a great amp.i guess i just like that bit of extra bass from the 12s

I used to have a 212 and loved it. It became that much better when I pulled the stock Blue Marvels and put Vintage 30's in and swapped the tubes for JJ's. I still can't figure out why these amps are often laughed at here. Easily the best bang for the buck out there.

Is it the greatest amp in the world?

No.

Is it a pretty fucking cool sounding rock and blues tube amp (especially for the money)?

Yes indeed.

IMHO.

Thanks everyone. I decided to go with the 410 version in tweed. Had one of my local dealers order it for me. bluesgtr20, you are right, I love this amp. It sounds great with a Tele, Strat, and my Les Pauls. Pearly Grapes, a blues-based Classic Rock guy. Me too Bro, and this amp seems perfect for this type of music.

One of my best friends owns the 4-10 combo. It's a fantastic sounding amp. Real sweet overdrive with good clean tones also.
