Shrine '69 - best tone ever recorded!all the way. i saw them at the shrine
Here's one that'll take you right back....so great !!!!!!! thank you..the peter green tone,,,,,all the way. i saw them at the shrine ,,,, in L.A with jeremy,,, and again with danny. outstanding...1968 and 69. peter's burst still had some red in it,,,,way back then. i stood 10 feet away from him.....it's all in his soul and fingers!......so great.

I have heard recordings of one of those shows and his tone is definitely not what it normally was. He got that amazing, overdriven power tube Marshall gain, reminiscent of the earlier Mayall period before he found his own voice. Mac must've shared the backline that night with the other bands? I'd love to hear more.june 29 1968....peter played his burst through a marsahall stack...
