The EJ Strat IMHO is the best Stratocaster being produced today... I regret selling mine.
Funny you say that....I was going to put in my post that I can't imagine wanting any different Strat now that I have it but thought that'd be too over the top. It really is a great guitar.

I bought this wonderful Antonio Tsai SG w/ an Eagle inlay back in September of 2024 on Friday the 13th.

My granddaughter has been taking guitar lessons for a few months, practicing like crazy on my son's old Epi acoustic. I told her if she keeps it up, I'd get her an electric for her 11th birthday (next weekend). Bonus, she wanted a Les Paul (because Taylor Swift of course).

I was considering the Players Pack as a beginner guitar (the Billie Joe Armstrong Junior looked like it had ok specs), but a cheap bolt neck Epi didn't sit well with me.

A couple of days ago I went over to my local guitar shop (they didn't have anything of interest on their upcoming Black Friday sale), and found a very lightly used (I can't find a mark or scratch on it) '22 Epi TV Yellow Special, set neck, Gibson headstock, better hardware. The same price the Player Pack would have been. I'll have to pick her up an amp, but I'm way happier giving her this.

That is so cool that Taylor Swift is inspiring the next generation. I didn’t know she played a LP. Your granddaughter will be so happy.

New to me "Blondie" Telecaster. These were a special run of Original Vintage from CME a few years back. Black guard 50's style "Thin Skin" Nitro with a roasted maple neck and stock Original Vintage Pickups. My old '52 AVRI Butterscotch is more of a rock machine, and this one is a twang machine all the way. Snappy and bright. The neck is a "U" shape and that usually means baseball bat .95" at the first fret, but this one is about .85" and right in my preferred range. Got a 9.5" radius fretboard and narrow tall frets. Love the roasted maple, and as far as I can tell it is unfinished so none of that stickiness that nitro-over-maple has. It came with an anodized aluminum pickguard that put a wet blanket over the neck pickup. Changed to a Fender Pure Vintage non-metallic one and the neck pickup came to life in a huge way - full and bright, a bit strat-like. And, it is only 7.1 lbs! Light as a feather compared to the '52 AVRI at 9lbs (gave it to my daughter, she is young and strong). I highly recommend grabbing one of these when they come up for sale. Yeee-Haw!
