picked up a mint 1999 MIM white blonde 50s classic tele last Friday ..terrific guitar that back then came standard with alnico pups, cts pots, a two piece ash body and large round C neck profile…really a sweet guitar that easily holds its own to its California siblingsIMG_3387.jpeg

Not bought by me, but by my family for my upcoming fiftieth birthday. An Epiphone Standard 50s. I'm absolutely thrilled and inspired to take guitar playing seriously again.

(And, yes, I'm saving up to buy a Gibson Standard now. It won't be any more special, though.)

That's a sweet top (flame and finish) and a nice dark fretboard. If someone else picked it you hit the jackpot.

Very cool. Sounds like a good place to work!
It was. I was there for 14 years. While I was there it grew at an incredible rate. We went from a regional to a global presence in that time and sales/revenue grew by more than 6X. I was fortunate to be part of that.
