As I prepare to enter Political Junkie Detox for a while, there's still the lingering questions of, say, Alaska's Senate race (or Minnesota's... or who won Missouri) before the various recounts and runoffs.

I'm not sure why I find Alaska interesting (other than the prospect of returning a convicted felon to the Senate). There are some large variances from the national turnout trends up there, but here's some egghead analysis of how the tens of thousands of uncounted ballots might fall, offered as a public service for those like me who miss all the pre-election polls (a little):

If you're really a political junkie, there's no need to detox. Just start a blog on either your local school board, your local county board of commissioners, or your city council!

You'll get more action than shit gets flies!

in 2006, surveyusa predicted that Obama would win 3 states in a possible race aginst McCain.

The sensational outcome of this election and all the events and turmoil preceding it has made me a serious political junkie for the next looooong time. I'm gobbling up all sorts of news from all sorts of sources, and from all sorts of places on the planet. It's not a time to miss a thing. Enough burying behind the guitar for a while.
