• Guys, we've spent considerable money converting the Les Paul Forum to this new XenForo platform, and we have ongoing monthly operating expenses. THE "DONATIONS" TAB IS NOW WORKING, AND WE WOULD APPRECIATE ANY DONATIONS YOU CAN MAKE TO KEEP THE LES PAUL FORUM GOING! Thank you!

I've got a couple of PUP's kicking around that I bought a while ago but never used. I'm thinking of dropping them into my 333. The neck is a Duncan SH-2 Jazz and the Bridge is a Duncan Custom Custom. I would put covers on them as well. What do you all think??

If you are looking for a change from your stock PUs, I think these two would sound pretty good in a 333. The 333 seems to resonate tighter or at a higher resonance to me. More like a solid body in response, but still has the hollow body dwell. These two pickups would give you a nice clean tone on the neck, and a great lead tone.

I always felt like the Seths in my H-535 were great for roots/blues/low gain rock, but would not do it for harder edged, tighter rock tones. You'd certainly get a brighter, more aggressive tone from the change.

Let us know how it works out!
