• Guys, we've spent considerable money converting the Les Paul Forum to this new XenForo platform, and we have ongoing monthly operating expenses. THE "DONATIONS" TAB IS NOW WORKING, AND WE WOULD APPRECIATE ANY DONATIONS YOU CAN MAKE TO KEEP THE LES PAUL FORUM GOING! Thank you!

WOW Mike this guitar sounds fabulous, even in this recording quality!
I wish it would not be that hard to find those Rossingtons in Germany....

I played my Rossington for the first time on Saturday and I really like it. The Bigsby will take some getting used to, the bottom of my picking hand was hitting it. But the Bigsby sounds amazing, you can get a really cool Magnatone style fast vibrato out of it with some practice. The bridge pickup sounded great if I backed the Vol and Tone knob down a bit. The wear on the back of the neck did get in my way (sliding up to 7th fret) but I should be able to get used to it. I wonder if there is some temporary water soluble filler I could put on it...

I put my IPAD on the floor in movie mode to see how it sounded and I think the tone was good, even into my drummer's stock Deluxe Reverb reissue. We're working on the parts of this song, still needs work and the video is too up close and personal for me, but here it is.

Oh one more thing man, If you find a cigarette butt in the switch cavity.
It once belonged to Slash... No I'm not kiddin....:rofl

The best thing he could do with the Slash cig. butt that I gave him was to put it in a Rossington guitar? And yes, everything Todd is saying is true, the guy messed with what should have not have been messed with on many guitars.

Im guilty a little of that too though to be 100% honest. I gutted my Custom Shop Elliot Easton Pelham Blue SG but everything I did is reversable (except for the solder), AND I saved all the parts for them to be put back in if I ever want to sell it (which is very unlikely cause the Timbuckers, Tims 4th to last set, SMOKE in that baby!).

Kid Rocks guitar player, Kenny Olsen played it last year at the summer jam and just tore the house up with it!

You dont have to worry about buying anything from Maverick. Most of his guitars are not for sale but rather part of his collection. He posts them on his wbe sight for sale in case someone wants to come by with a ridiculous offer then he may sell.

In answer to your questions a mint unplayed Rossy should be around 7-8K depending on the top and if it has all the case canday including the display case.

Mike-
Sounds like a keeper- great Townsend reverb and tone. Very Live at Leeds sounding.

Thanks for the kind words, I am enjoying the guitar and have played it a few times a week since I got it. The nut on the Bigsby arm got loose and fell off last week so I need to fix that before I play it again. I have been getting the frets better one at a time with a nice diamond crowning tool from Stew Mac, and found a few frets that were a little high so it's playing much better now and there is still plenty of meat on the frets after crowning them.

Ya Todd, I sure as hell miss playing your collection. Besides the MANY fine LP's you have, you had some dynamite other axes, including what is possibly my favorite Tele of all time!
