• Guys, we've spent considerable money converting the Les Paul Forum to this new XenForo platform, and we have ongoing monthly operating expenses. THE "DONATIONS" TAB IS NOW WORKING, AND WE WOULD APPRECIATE ANY DONATIONS YOU CAN MAKE TO KEEP THE LES PAUL FORUM GOING! Thank you!

I always thought he'd meet his maker on a bike.

Man I played with the EK Stunt Bike forever back in the day '76 - '77. Had the Stunt Car, the travel van and of course the Stunt Cycle.

Guy was a ball buster. Somebody talked smack about him in Vegas and he went after the guy and beat the crap out of him with a baseball bat.

Check out this cool Stunt Cycle Video

I was about 11 or 12 years old when he hit his peak in the early 70s. That was a great time to be alive!

Stealing sheets of plywood from constructions sites, so we could build illicit bicycle-jumping ramps was a popular activity among me and my friends about this time.

Eventually we rigged up our local version of the Snake River Canyon jump: a ramp that launched us into about the middle of the local river, where it was about 20 feet deep. We'd swim back to shore, and then use a rope to haul our bikes back out.

For some reason, that one summer, our bikes rusted an awful lot.

:rofl

This is certainly the most memorable bit of film footage from my youth:

Evel at Caesar's Palace Fountain

Kind of poor quality there, but I remember the super slo-mo of him bottoming out there was something me and my buddies re-enacted time and again after seeing this in the Evel biopic that George Hamilton did.

I read somewhere that they wre on a budget, so the wife of the producer was enlisted as a cameraman. It was she- Linda Evans- that shot the landing.
