• Guys, we've spent considerable money converting the Les Paul Forum to this new XenForo platform, and we have ongoing monthly operating expenses. THE "DONATIONS" TAB IS NOW WORKING, AND WE WOULD APPRECIATE ANY DONATIONS YOU CAN MAKE TO KEEP THE LES PAUL FORUM GOING! Thank you!

Saddened. Had the great pleasure of meeting him in 97. Lovely guy. Signed my guitar.
Condolences to everyone who knew him.
RIP Mr Greenbaum.

Just found out. I'm devastated.....my favorite Les Paul and British Blues player of them all.

'Legend' seems almost too little of a term. A titan.

RIP to the man whom B.B. King said had “the sweetest tone I ever heard; he was the only one who gave me the cold sweats.”

Jimmy Page (no slouch himself in the British blues guitarist department in his younger days) told an interviewer that, “Personally, I don’t think you’re going to find a better example of British blues than the original Fleetwood Mac, with Jeremy Spencer and Peter Green.”

Feck, I can't think what to say, nothing I can type does him justice.

One of the greatest ever, RIP.

Seems a bit of a ‘Rapture’ taking place among musicians. Can’t say as I blame them, death is all of sudden looking like a better option than hanging around here. : /

So odd. As I do these days, I arose early and drove to my favourite lakeside State Park for my daily 6 hour hike and stroll among the tres and medows. I always fire up the ipod and pick a set or Artist to listen too. Today it was Peter Green day. I have all the Studio recordings from Bluesbreakers, Fleetwood Mac and early solo dics as well as BBC and live stuff.

I listened to most all of it. Was an excellent choice, even if I skipped past the too annoying Jeremy Spencer stuff.

When I came home my son told me the news.

Very sad. I hope whatever awaits us after this life finds him whole and happy. He has been missed for so long. His impact was huge, for such a brief time and testament to how passion and feel trandsend fashion and fame. I'll not get into some discource about his talent, life or place in history other than to say, I felt his music. I had a great day with Mr Green today, and now I feel so oddly, empty....
