[FONT=&quot]Just wanted to start a thread as a tribute to Bill. That guitar is an original 1954 Gibson Les Paul. Bill chipped the top off of it himself with a chisel and replaced it with a birdseye top. He installed the 1971 or 1972 Gibson embossed humbuckers himself and put the original P-90's in a Mosrite project he was working on. Later, Bill said he had the Les Paul "rebuilt" for him by a luthier named Cliff Biltz in Oxford , Ohio, "because it was worn out." The neck was replaced with a modified D'Angelico...[/FONT]
