  • Guys, we've spent considerable money converting the Les Paul Forum to this new XenForo platform, and we have ongoing monthly operating expenses. THE "DONATIONS" TAB IS NOW WORKING, AND WE WOULD APPRECIATE ANY DONATIONS YOU CAN MAKE TO KEEP THE LES PAUL FORUM GOING! Thank you!

Listing this for a friend who now only uses a Blues Junior in Church. No longer needs this monster.

Before Detroit area amp builder Bruce Egnater was known for Egnater Amps, he built an amp called the Natec.
This all tube Natec model TM75 from the early 80s is a hand-built heavyweight. Serial number is 1007.
Made to compete with the Boogies, Dumbles, and other similar high gain switching combos.
Rated at 75 watts with a pair of 6550 output tubes, huge iron, channel switching, power reduction switch, 3 effects loops, reverb.
Solid oak cabinet holds an ElectroVoice EVM 12S speaker.
Great tight cleans, plus tons of gain on tap if you want it.

One owner amp was bought new at Gus Zoppi Music on 8 Mile. Completely original including the tubes.
I spoke with Bruce recently about his Natec amps. He told me less than 10 TM75s were ever made (this is number 7)
Bruce also said he is still in the Detroit are and is available if the need for service ever comes up.
Output section and power reduction circuit is loosely based on a "Fender 75".
Super rare local history. Almost nothing on the web about them. Randy Jacobs used one in Was (Not Was) in the 80's.
I also kinda remember the cats in the Free Spirit band using Natecs...?

Pics were taken before it was cleaned and serviced. Cleaned inside and out, cleaned pots, switches, tube sockets and jacks.
Cleaned oak with orange oil. No filter caps were replaced as it runs dead quiet.
The light staining on the grill (beer splash) dry-brushed right off and is no longer visible. Original foot-switch included.

Was $800 plus shipping, now $750 plus shipping. Actual shipping will depend on buyer's location.
Reasonable offers will be considered. No trades at this time.

Local area pick-up in SE Michigan (Detroit/Ann Arbor/Toledo)
PM or email me with interest.
