• Guys, we've spent considerable money converting the Les Paul Forum to this new XenForo platform, and we have ongoing monthly operating expenses. THE "DONATIONS" TAB IS NOW WORKING, AND WE WOULD APPRECIATE ANY DONATIONS YOU CAN MAKE TO KEEP THE LES PAUL FORUM GOING! Thank you!

Real Vintage Fender amps. Please post here without fear.

It's a 5A3 - gets a little flabby maxed with Humbuckers but sweet with single coils.

Very cool.

I would be much appreciative if you had time to start a detailed thread on it.

I'm very interested in the early Deluxes.

Sorry for the derail...

62 Reverb Unit, 66 and 65 Deluxe Reverbs - Both recapped and retubed and now have Weber 12F-150s. One obvious repro knob on the 66.

Some guy was trading this 75 SFDR in at the local Guitar Sinner and I happened to be there.
It was not working and I don't know what they gave him for it, but I got it as is for [a very low price]
It had all original parts, including the RCA tubes when I got it home, but one power tube was dead.
Also the reverb send tube socket was corroded really bad.
New filter caps and a new pair of power tubes and it runs great.
Was going to BF it, but the circuit was identical except for the rectifier.
I put the original speaker away for safe keeping and threw a Weber 12F-150T in it. Love it.

That's great. Seems like stories like these are pretty frequent.

Half of my Fender amps are fake.

More than half of mine. The only real Vintage Fender I have left is the VR. My current Princeton Reverb, tweed Deluxe and tweed Champ are clones (damn nice ones).
