• Guys, we've spent considerable money converting the Les Paul Forum to this new XenForo platform, and we have ongoing monthly operating expenses. THE "DONATIONS" TAB IS NOW WORKING, AND WE WOULD APPRECIATE ANY DONATIONS YOU CAN MAKE TO KEEP THE LES PAUL FORUM GOING! Thank you!

Ive got a 2016 LP Junior arriving soon and I have been looking at wraparound bridges of various brands. Prices, metal, types and brands really vary. I have Faber bridges in my two regular LPs but Faber wraparounds are pretty pricey. The adjustable Faber Wraparound in over a hundred bucks and weighs almost a 1/4 lb.
The Faber Compensated weighs under an ounce at $90.
TonePros makes nice adjustables at $65.
MojoAxe has a Compensated Wraparound at $65 too.
I haven't checked anyone else.

Any recommendations for price , weight and type?

I saw a youtube of Keith Richards playing a double cut Jr with a Leo Quan Badass Wraparound bridge. Amazon has them for $10.80. One of the reviews says the screws stripped out.

I still have 2 of those. One is still in the original wrapper. $10 is a fantastic price.

I'm always perplexed by noncompensated bridges. I posted the pic above of my as of yet not arrived LPJ. As you can see it is a noncompensated bridge.

Yet none of my acoustics are adjustable or compensated.(mostly Taylors) It's always puzzled me why acoustics aren't typically compensated or adjustable.

I've always played Junior's and the occasional Special. Just recently I got my 1st Mojoaxe. I used to think my tuning was close enough, now it's spot on. It makes a difference.

I went with a Faber aluminum compensated bridge. This bridge lets me adjust it nearly as close to the body as the studs allow. It's a really well engineered design. Weighs .98 ozs. $40

This LPJ came with a noncompensated bridge made by a company in Nashville called Advanced Plating Inc.

Going with a Faber bridge was all I did to this guitar. The LPJ is a minimalist design. There isn't a lot to modify.

I have a few of the Bell Brass and an aluminium version of this:

If you have a bright sounding guitar get the Bell Brass. If you have a slightly darker sounding guitar, get the aluminum. Both with make your guitar sound fatter, bigger, increase sustain and clarity/harmonics. I've been playing wrapover guitars now for 46 years and these are the best up-grade for a bar bridge I've ever experienced. Dan's MojoAxe's are great, but I've found the Bell Bras to have an even better sound. Also there are varying grade of aluminum and whatever ABM uses has a nicer resonence than my MojoAxe ones.
