• Guys, we've spent considerable money converting the Les Paul Forum to this new XenForo platform, and we have ongoing monthly operating expenses. THE "DONATIONS" TAB IS NOW WORKING, AND WE WOULD APPRECIATE ANY DONATIONS YOU CAN MAKE TO KEEP THE LES PAUL FORUM GOING! Thank you!

I may have heard a rumbling about that today and totally spaced out . Interesting . But the Etsy CEO saying Reverb is the Etsy of Musical Instruments .. I need to process that statement . I guess it's a good marketing pitch . I think I'm more astonished with how flush with cash Etsy is . " yeah let's take $250m out of the account and buy Reverb." I mean hats off to David Kalt .. I remember about 3 or 4 years ago he was raising $25m for the business .. Rick Nielsen was an angel investor . But Reverb went from $80-90m to a quarter bill revenue in 4 years . That's even more astonishing . I have had good luck on Reverb . Interested to see how Reverb evolves .

As an average Reverb buyer i can't help but to think this is going to suck.

Whenever there is an acquisition/takeover [and ive been thru many as consumer & employee] the new company always delares "nothing will change" when in fact only one thing changes & that one thing is EVERYTHING.

I, too, am concerned. Reverb has been great to buy from. I’ve had good luck with all purchases. It’s well organized. My experience with PE backed companies hasn’t been great. When they buy stuff they expect big earnings soon and have a short time horizon before flipping. :hank
